Here’s what they had to say ‘Kuze Fuku Shoten was established in 2013 and is one of Japan’s best gourmet stores. They’ve worked with Sanyo Shokuhin to create a unique vegetable dashi (野菜だし) ramen. They are a salt-based ramen (shio ramen, 塩らーめん), made from a special vegetable dashi recipe from Kuze Fuku Shoten. The cup has a unique umami and is very fragrant. The noodles are on the thinner side, which works well with such a light broth, and topped with cabbage, bean sprouts, kikurage mushrooms and carrots and a 30% increase in toppings from the previous version!’
I do like Shio quite a bit – in fact the background for The Ramen Rater logo (which has been the same since 2014) has a Sapporo Ichiban shio bowl as the background. Let’s give this one a try!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added shichimi, chashu, mung bean sprout, spring onion, soft egg, and sesame seed. Noodle was really quite good and unexpectedly so. The broth was a very savory shio – which was augmented with cabbage and other fine bits of vegetable. Really was a nice surprise. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4901734048473.
